Why
Some videos take an hour to say ten minutes of things. I wanted to read, not watch.
How
One Python file, a hundred lines or so. It downloads the audio of the video, transcribes it with Whisper, then asks GPT-4 for a summary that keeps the original’s point of view and tone. The result opens in an HTML page. I had written an article explaining how to install it.
